Venus is an equal distance from Pollux (on the left) and Castor (on the right), the heads of the twins in Gemini. As the goddess of love, Venus' position between the two brothers seems to represent filial love.

This is a combination of a ten-second and a five-second exposure. These pictures were taken when it was still light out, and there was a faint wisp of clouds, so the individual pictures were not very clear. By combining the two pictures, I was able to make the stars and Venus twice as bright, while diminishing somewhat the haze from the clouds. I also enhanced the combination on the computer.
